Before and After

Florida condo bedroom submitted by J.R.

BEFORE

Our Florida condo was just painted and recarpeted before we started to stage the master bedroom. There just was too much beige and we wanted to really play up that you can fit a king sized bed in there and have room to spare.

Also, we took down the vertical blinds and exposed the windows but they really did need something to block the southern sun - especially in the afternoon. We liked the lamp because it added color, but ended up moving it to another room to coordinate with some artwork.

We tried the bed on all four walls, but it really looked best under the window which framed it pretty well.

AFTER

All we had to do was find a new bedpread set and it made all the difference. I think that the blue and taupe were a good choice and the shiny fabric was more modern than what I had in there before.

We ended up getting pull cell shades for the windows and they helped with the sun's glare.

We found a more modern lamp for pretty cheap ($49!)and I think that the room looks much better.
