Before and After

BEFORE
This kitchen dated from the late '70s with its raised panel cabinetry and ornate pulls. The appliances were pretty dated and needed to be updated. The countertop was basic laminate and looked like butcher block. The flooring was in good condition and so we picked a paint color to go with the flooring (when we removed the wallpaper).
AFTER
We got new appliances and new granite countertops. We replaced the shallow stainless sink with a single deep stainless sink and got a new faucet.
The biggest change was in the cabinetry. Instead of getting new cabinets, we just got new door fronts and drawer fronts and replaced the hardware. The doors and drawers cost us about $3,000 with labor and they look brand new. All we did was find a cabinet stain that matched our existing cabinet stain pretty well.
